DESCRIPTION: In Abeouka artwork, the name implies that of a town in Nigeria, West Africa meaning "under the rock" when Olumo Rock was used as hide-out by indigenous people of this region. This later became an historical monument which served as shelter and fortress for the Egba people who at 1830 had settled under the rock during the intercity wars. Today, its formation of social-ethnic gathering and its landscape terrain can be comparable in certain respects to landscape settlement style of same existence in Bahia, or many parts in Brazil in South America due ancestral and heritage morphs.
